Partnerships

We are passionate about the value of working in partnership, and we are always open to new opportunities. We have collaborated with partners in a wide variety of ways, including:

  • Joint delivery of engagement or networking events
  • Co-production of new resources, including with young people, families, and experts by experience
  • Co-conducting research or pilot projects
  • Co-development of theatre or creative projects
  • Entering induction agreements with organisations, to provide training for any new staff members
  • And much more!

Our programme is in partnership with GambleAware.

The Hub most recently developed an induction partnership with Street League - any new staff members are invited to attend training as part of their induction process.

"We have worked with Fast Forward for a number of years now and have seen the benefits of this across our Scottish services. It’s great to be able to offer issue-based training to our staff but also have specialised support and workshops for Young People engaging in our programmes.

Fast Forward offer interactive and engaging sessions to help young people understand the risks and long-term effects of gambling. Thank you to all the staff at Fast Forward who are always really supportive and on hand to help whenever we need it!"

The Hub most recently partnered with RCA Trust to deliver engagement and awareness inputs with Scottish students, and conduct research on students' views on gaming and gambling.

"We have worked with Fast Forward for several years and they are a great team of individuals, who are passionate and committed to engaging young people to help support them with their everyday wellbeing.

The work they have undertaken regarding young people and gambling harms has become the blueprint for how to educate and inform young people on this hidden problematic behaviour. It has and continues to be a pleasure to work collaboratively with Fast Forward."

"The partnership between Highland Council and Donna and the Fast Forward team has been absolutely invaluable in supporting the overall headline approach to keeping young people in Highland as safe as possible, when online. The really key part of the work that we've combined on, has been in providing meaningful contexts to illustrate the clear connection between online gaming and early gambling habits. This has been particularly helpful when delivering content to both staff and parents around gaming and how the in-game and loot boxes purchases, are giving young people an 'opportunity' to consider risk-taking when deciding what additional tools are needed to make progress in a game.

The in-depth knowledge and expertise that Donna has been able to share has been very effective in making the suspected link between gaming and early-stage gambling, much more real-life and relevant. This partnership has added real depth to the way we tackle online safety, and in particular, online gaming and we look forward to further strengthening this partnership in new and evolving ways."

Homelessness is often a consequence of multiple factors in people's lives that lead to them not having a safe, secure and warm place to live. We know that gambling can be both a cause and a consequence of homelessness and so we're working in partnership with Fast Forward to create better, more informed responses to gambling and homelessness to prevent and reduce harms.
